For the past two decades, my experiences have spanned in-house teams and global agencies, overseeing public relations programs for award-winning travel destinations, managing crisis communications during the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill (and now a global pandemic), leading desk-side media missions in Atlanta, Birmingham, Dallas, and New York City, and hosting culinary media experiences at the James Beard House.

In 2019, I formed The Palm Tree Type because I believed “PR,” as we once knew it, is no longer enough. Today’s most effective communication tactics require a creative blend of strategy, relevancy and intimacy to withstand the swiftly changing media landscape. It’s not about joining the conversation but about contributing to it – and doing so meaningfully, in the manner only your brand can.
